Gardening and Planting Programs with Public Schools, including Garden Therapy

 Blue Star Memorial Beautification Herb Garden at St. Mary’s College of Maryland  

Founded in 1938, the goals of the Garden Club are to:
 • Foster interests in horticulture and civic improvements throughout our county 

• Present programs promoting environmental interests and awareness Increase knowledge of horticulture, landscape design, floral design 
• Encourage conservation and aid in protection of natural resources
Stimulate participation in the objectives of the National Garden Clubs, Inc.  
• Membership in the Garden Club is open to any resident of St. Mary’s or adjoining counties.
 
Members are required to:
--Attend at 5 meetings held 3rd Monday, March to November 
--Participate in club activities
