Members met at Tolerance Hall on the Fairgrounds in Leonardtown to create hundreds of beautiful fresh greens arrangements to be shared with the community. The Greens Workshop spreads cheer and good will during the holiday season and on Christmas morning.
Arrangements are immediately delivered to local nursing homes, Meals on Wheels, the Reception, Circulation and Reference desks (and quiet areas) of all 3 local libraries, to all 3 local Senior Centers, to Hospice for their reception and visitation areas and to every Hospice patient for their private rooms.
In addition, lovely fresh arrangements are made for the Reception desk at St. Mary's Hospital, on the day they are made, and later delivered to every patient in the hospital on Christmas morning.
This community outreach project is expanding every year and provides an opportunity for club members to share their artistic talents and to celebrate the spirit of giving during the holiday season.
